Project theFranklin SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER, THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE, PHILADELPHIA, PA — 1999-2008 Responsible for building the internal network, connecting it to the internet and scaling it to support the needs of over 300 users. Built and configured a linux based router to connect the museum to Internet2, allowing it to become a major content provider. Maintained a heterogenous server environment integrating Windows 2003, Linux, and Mac OS X servers tied together through Active Directory. Developed and programmed web-enabled databases to track everything from library manuscripts to exhibit repairs. Most recent accomplishment was the successful rollout of an Exchange 2007 environment to our business users.
