Well if any of you are looking for updates on how Tao is doing... you’ll have to wait a week. I’ll be at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Like any true geek though, I do have to get my technology knitted into everything. In this case for the past 8 years I’ve been deploying a network out in a straw field to help manage the 450-500 volunteers or so who work for the camping committee.

 

I also run a website for them that manages the mailing list, and allows folks to sign up that they are coming to the Fest.

 

And yes, the site does use Tao. It’s an older system that is pretty much all direct-Url’s in tclhttpd. But the directUrl’s all use Tao objects to talk to the database backend.
